Please begin reading the text for the week .... Luke 23.33 - 49

As we prepare for our most Holy Week of all as Chrisitans, please be in much prayer about our class, lesson, prayer needs and services this coming week. Thank you all for your participation each week too. Below is something I would like for you to think about this week and a question for you.

Luke 23.33 - 49

As we read this, look for anything you have never noticed before.

Jesus is arguably the most influential person in history. What possessions did He have when He died?

God and Science

This is from a friend of mine (Cliff at HDI)... He recently sent me this email.

......I want to share something with you guys. For years I have always quoted a verse out of Isaiah (a book that was written 700 year before 0 AD) it say that, …He that sits above the circle…”. I have always shared this verse with people to show how the bible declares the earth to b a circle long before anyone had ever figured out that the earth was not flat. Anyway, the book of Job is one of the oldest pieces of written literature ever written (much older than the book of Isaiah), and I wanted to share an interesting verse. It is chapter 26, verse 7. It says, He(speaking of God) stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.”

Amazing that God knew the earth was suspended in space long before space travel ever existed, and long before the first man ever figured out that earth was not flat. Well amazing only if you don’t believe that He is God. I guess it is not hard for God who created everything to know these things since He made them.

We will be studying Nehemiah - Nehemiah 5:1-16

We will be studying Nehemiah this week. Pray about the lesson. I will get us caught up with a quick 10 - 15 minute brush up on what we missed the last 3 weeks by continuing out study on Prayer.

The Text for those weeks are as follows:

Nehemiah 1:1-11
Nehemiah 2:1-8,11-18
Nehemiah 2:19-20; 4:1-14

Also, I made a comment that I don't look at your SS Lesson this past week. I don't want to mislead anyone. I don't look at your book, but I do study the corresponding teacher editions and largely teach out of different commentaries related to the lesson, sooo the purpose of all this is to say. Please DO study the lesson. Also, read the text for the week.
