How to determine God's will on every single issue you face in life, both large and small !!!

Last week we discussed determining God's will in your life among other things.

I promised I would email everyone and post something I quoted from John MacArthur that I do believe is absolutely biblical.  I have paraphrased it below.  The thing to remember is the 5 basics he discusses.  I challenge you to really think about them, then wrap your mind around his final thought as you determine God's will.

Here goes it.....

God's will is that you be saved, Spirit-filled, sanctified, submissive, and suffering. God's Word makes all this clear. Do not read on until you have grasped these five principles.

Now for the freeing part......

OK, let me give you the final principle, but hold onto your seat! You may want to jump up and shout! If you are doing all five of the basic things, do you know what the next principle of God's will is? 

Do whatever you want. 

If those five elements of God's will are operating in your life, who is running your wants?   God is! 

The Psalmist said, "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart" (Ps. 37:4). God does not say He will fulfill all the desires there! If you are living a godly life, He will give you the right desires.

Last Lesson on the Revelation Study - We hope fall break doesn't kill class participation, and yes that is a shameless plug.

Anyway, on to the thoughts for Sunday.

Tommy and I would like to ask you 4 questions and have you think about your answers before you come to class on Sunday.  Please give it some thought, and don't feel like you have to come up with some type of "Miss America" earth changing thought.  Just be honest.  We want your opinion.

Here goes....

1. What did you learn or discover new about this study the last several months?  Anything, it can be something you might think is really simple, or it can be something very thought provoking and deep, but we really want to know what it was.  At least one thing.
2. What did you find you changed your mind about or corrected a false thought, ie Urban legend kind of thing you realized was is slightly off base or complete false that you now know the truth on?  At least one. 
3. What was the most profound thing you gained via this study?  for example:  Knowledge about something that really has impacted you... or Something in the Study that particularly stirred your spirit, either in a positive or negative way, or your views about "End Times" or John the author, or Christ's return.  Anything that has become a "Faith Marker" in your life
4. Final Question:  What do we do with this now?  The big so what of the study?
5. Final Thought:  Steve Jobs....... you have to come to class to find out what this has to do with our close/wrap up of our study.

In addition to all the above, Tommy and I will reveal what is next for our class for the next several weeks.  Hope to see you there Sunday.  Be early.  :)
