The Text for the lesson this week comes from 1 John 2.18 - 27; 4.1 - 6

If you have a moment, do a little research on a cult of your choosing. Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness, or some other cult. Something bizarre like Jim Jones. There are several youtube videos on that. They are pretty gripping. How do we make sure that we never get caught in a web of deceit like a cult?  How do people get caught up in a cult?

Questions to Consider

• 1 John 2.18. What is the last hour?
• Who or what is an antichrist?
• Verse 27. What does it mean we do not need other teachers?
• What does it mean to "test every spirit"?
• What is the appeal of a cult? Why do so many get trapped in cults?
