Roger asked me to add Avery to our prayer list. Her dad Tom works with him. Avery had her tonsils removed this week and at home recovering had serious complications with bleeding and choking. She is in Scottish Rite now.

How are Christians really separate from the world?
So I was reading in [2 Corinthians 6:17] where it talks about us being separate from the world. It got me thinking though about how Christians really are separate from non-Christians. We watch the same tv shows and movies. We dress the same. We are scandalized by the same celebrities. We live in the same neighborhoods. We shop at the same stores. We're not separate geographically and it doesn't seem like we're separate behaviorally either. In what way(s) are Christians today really separate from non-Christians? Just the fact that we go to church on Sunday morning instead of sleeping in and that's it?

While this article focuses on a particular culture in Asia we can find this same example in other cultures... Caribbean, India and even South America such as Peru.
Syncretism is also a practice among these religious cultures.
